Alnico is manufactured by casting an alloy containing Aluminium Nickel and Cobalt. It is easy to damage magnetically by improper handing. Can only be magnetised along the length to provide a stable magnet. Length / Diameter ratios are important and this site offers magnets that fall within this criteria. Resistant to moisture although can oxidise in certain conditions. Very good temperature characteristics and will operate in non dynamic application to 500 degrees C.
